By: H.G. Panca Pandava Das

Hare Krsna!

As like most projects Bhaktivedanta Swami Goshala, Vrindavan, is constantly evolving, growing and in need of renovation. There are a number of works going on at the moment, so we thought we would tell you what is going on and show some pictures of the works in progress.

Firstly one of the older cowsheds is being renovated, new troughs are being made and the whole roof is being replaced. The roof has also been raised to make the shed more airy and provide for better ventilation. The cost of this renovation will be in the region of 6 lakhs

The second major works has been the construction of a gober gas plant, this is now near completion and should be in operation by the end of the year. The gas will mainly be used for the preparation of the Gomata Cow Products which you can see on the Products page of this site. It is an ideal use as it needs a long slow heating process. The project has included the construction of a kitchen building adjacent to the gas plant for the use by the Products division of the Goshala and other uses as required. The cost of developing this has been in the region of 12 lakhs.

All these renovations and developments are funded outside of the normal Goshala budget, so donations are always welcome for these works. Please contact the devotees on the Contact Us page or make a direct donation on the Sponsorship page.
